Employment law affects almost everybody at some point in their lives; whether as an employee, employer, director, contractor, agency worker, freelancer etc. A high percentage of the population spend the majority of their waking day at work, thinking about work and travelling to and from work.
The Employment Department at Renaissance Solicitors undertakes all types of employment work, both contentious and non-contentious, and our team work hard to take away the stress and strain out of employment issues.
With Individuals
Our employment law specialists work with individuals to advise on internal disciplinary and grievance matters and provide advice and representation for claims to an Employment Tribunal.
We recognise that legal expenses can often be an issue for individuals especially if there has been a dismissal. As such we provide some representation on a NO WIN NO FEE basis (after assessment of the merits of a claim), fixed fee and work under insurance claims (such as household insurance which covers legal expenses). We are experienced in grievances relating to discrimination and dismissal matters and have had many successful results.
With Employers
We work with employers to improve working practices and ensure that companies are protected from litigation. We advise on compromise agreements and exit packages as well as providing representation at Employment Tribunals.
For employers we have tiered advice and representation schemes to enable the business to spread the cost of legal services and to have a named representative whenever necessary. We also provide training to businesses and managers on current employment law, new regulations and best practice.
